I have ben getting the message on my dash in my '02 Deville for a while that says Service Stability System. I am trying to not visit the dealer to fix this because I live in Florida where all roads are straight and I probably don't need the stability system anyway but I would like to fix the problem regardless.
The on board diagnostics that you can run do give a few codes, which are IPC U1000 and IPM B0429.
I don't think these relate to the stability system at all.
Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this?
ALSO
Does anyone know if the bulbs behind the reset buttons and up/down buttons for the instrument cluster functions can be replaced? I have hit the reset button so many times to clear the service stability system message that the backlight bulb has blown out.
Thanks,
Larry
