Hi Everyone how are you doing i have a 1993 cadillac deville 4.9 with 102,000 miles I just wanna know how reliable is the 4.9 and will it give me any problems?

Impossible to answer. How reliable it will be in the future depends on how well it was maintained in the past 102k miles. If it wasn't abused and was maintained properly, the engine has a good reputation for longevity.

It has really been well taken car of about a month ago ive had the trans rebuilt and im a fanatic about maintaining my car so i hope it will last a long time and later on im gonna rebuild the motor im a mechanic.

If it was well maintained, it should not need to be rebuilt anytime soon. Plus, this is not an engine that is as easily rebuilt as others. As one poster mentioned, do a search using keywords "4.9 reliability". This questions seems to get asked a couple of times a week.
