What is the weight of your hood compared to the stock hood? And would I have to cover the vents when it rains?

Not a fan, sorry. I think the V body lines are perfect how they come stock. That hood is over the top IMO, but if people like it, knock your socks off.

The front lip actually looks quite nice, gives it a more aggressive look, but im not a big fan of the hood.. looks like i'll be ordering the lip, to cover up all the chipped paintwork at the very bottom of the stock lip

I think a couple of us said that the hood was a little "busy" when it was in production. The lip though i like - how is it mounted ? And can i get it painted in raven black ? - i remember saying you guys can get it painted as long as its in black

Same question on the spoiler. How is it mounted and can it be purchased painted black?

Spoiler is attached with 2 supplied bolts that mount on the end and 2-way tape down the middle.

Here are the profile pictures requested.

Nice work. I like the spoiler and splitter but I don't care for the hood.

Wow that front lip is AWESOME. Nice and clean. Gorgeous. Wow! The spoiler, too. AWESOME JOB!

The hood reminds me of the Batmobile, though. Sorry!

i would like the hood without the extra middle lines on it

other 2 items look really nice

I am usually the guy who totally modifies his car and changes the wheels and everything...
But this CTS V2 seems perfect the way it is.

Here is another thought for the hood. What are your thoughts on this?

Delete..

Never mind, I got it.

I think I personally prefer the slightly cleaner line of "after". What I'm wrestling with is the elevation and squareness of the hood. I know that the factory hood is large, but this hood almost changes the profile of the car to me. I actually very much like a number of the aspects of the design but I feel that it somewhat breaks up the flow of lines for me. The OEM feels more sculpted to hide it's bulk, where this calls a great deal of attention to itself.

This is beautiful work but I'm still 50/50 on it.

^ I had in mind something more simplified like this...

better, but..

can you go one step further and take out the side darts in front of the vents as well ?

or stay with the center divider but remove the forward side parts as well.

feels like to me, the problem is the front area complexity.

I hated the cowl hood and spoiler on the V1 because of how clean and purposeful the profile lines were. Not a big fan of the hood, but the spoiler looks to match up well with the stock hood...

I just think the hood is too much. It looks to busy in the front, and the side profile is too high. When looking at the car, it makes it all about the hood.

I'm cool with a hood with a heat extractor and a bit larger bulge, but as I said earlier this goes to the opposite end of the spectrum for me and is just too extreme.

I'd love to have a hood that would have extractors like these on each side of the center dividing hood line....

Agreed. It changes the V2 from looking sleek to a bit of a boy racer...
