So I could get that V for about $50G?????!!!!!?????

Wife's comment the other day: "I want a new car."

My reply: "Well, I figured if we cleaned out half the driveway we'd go pick up an '06 E55 wagon"

Her: "I meant new" (the Audi had recently developed a stalling tendency, turned out to be a $16 temp sensor and it's fixed now but not until after someone had backed into her as she sat in a parking lot trying to get it to start, and her 540i was still missing half her back seat because I had to throw it back together in a hurry after the rear shock swap when the Audi started pissing her off.)

Me: "Uh, not sure we really want to spend the money right now"

Uh...are we really talking $50K?

These threads are like a puzzle trying to figure out exactly what incentives there are, and if they are cumulative or not. Can you tell me exactly what my price would be on a car with Recaros and automatic (feel free to pull an example of a car that is available) I understand that it will likely have other options in addition to those. I'd prefer it to not have an extra cost paint color.

I have a 2008 CTS leased through March (before the deadline). Exactly what would be my price (and I have about $2500 on a GM credit card).

Thanks

Scott,
Intersesting that the best offer you provided me today was $12,000 off MSRP. That included a loaded V with MSRP of over 69K as well as one at MSRP of 67K.

You said it depends on the invoice?? I'm ready for bite at over 14K off, as stated in the title.

Hello all - first post!

I have test drove a couple of V's in the Houston area so I definitely know that one of these is in the cards for me in the very near future... decided on Thunder Grey/Auto/Recaros/Suede Wheel/don't care about anything else...

Of course, around here the best I was quoted was right around $9k off sticker, but after talking with a couple of out-of-state dealers (Scott being one) there are much better deals to be had, even when taking into consideration shipping to TX... Thing is, the $5k cash is good through 11/2/09 and with Scott saying he has access to over 80 V's there is no way they are all going to move in the next 30 days...

I've generally bought new vehicles the last week of the year, but I think I'm going to have to pull the trigger soon if I'm going to want to get a car with the options that I want. Hate to have to pay for Nav/Sunroof, but I've haven't found one without them yet...

Anyways, I look forward to getting into this great car in the near future and joining the "owner's club"!

The deals are out there...got dealer discount of $4,500, 2009 bonus cash of $5,000; wifes SC430 lease is up 3/2010 but didn't have to trade it or anything so got another $4,000, waived the 60-day buy back guarantee and got $500 cash back, then used my GM Card cash for another $1,000 off so that's:

MSRP
-$4,500 Dealer discount or GMS
-$5,000 2009 Bonus Cash
-$4,000 If you happen to randomly have a lease that rolls before 3/31/2010
-$500 Buy back waiver cash

That's $14K off list before your GM card.

I think the difference is going to come from the Dealer Discount or GMS pricing.

$750.00

Some have Extended Family Credit cards they can use up tp $1500.00

Hell I had one guy buy a 15,500 GM Voucher on ebay from a guy that need money so bad he was $10,500.00 ahead.

You should have seen that deal.. Can we say brand new V in the $30's..

Is it possible.

YES.. I'm I playing games no... There will be a few guys that chime in once they get their cars.. Some were picked up today..

no time for games Jeff. Sorry you feel I was not giving you the best prices every day and hour they were getting picked over. I seen v sales decrease in one day after I started watching by 220 units...

First of all, I didn't specify anyone. Second, I have enough facts to back up my statements. My comments are based upon actual phone conversations with both of the forum vendors, along with discussions with three different general managers of Cadillac dealers in the Houston area.

Read through the posts and you'll see that some very specific questions were never answered either.

I'm not trying to smear anyone - I'm trying to let forum members know that all is not what it appears. Read enough of this and a couple of other threads and you'll see some inconsistencies.

In case some of you haven't noticed, life is full of exceptions, rules and specifics. Just because the title says "$14K off a new V" and then you call and find out you don't qualify you cry and say such and such is a liar or deceiver. HELLO!!!!!! There are multiple rebates and programs. Just like not everyone qualifies for the 0% apr offers not everyone qualifies for the $14K off. We are very fortunate to have the vendors we do. They are the ones that let us know when special offers, dealer only offers and limited deals are available. If you don't like dealing with the forum vendors then good luck with your local guys. I'm sure they will take care of you in the way you deserve.:thepan:

I don't think it's fair or constructive to suggest anyone "deserves to be mistreated by a local dealer" for questioning a clearly misleading post. I expect some people are just a little disappointed and feel misled after their hopes to get a V are dashed.
Most of us understand there are variations on the theme, but why bait the masses with offers which only pertain to the few? Reminds me off the weekend newspaper ads...1 only! "14K off or more" is the exception here.
The vendors here do well being clear and upfront with some amazing offers. Keep it real. Most of us appreciate it.

As far as getting in on one of these Supplier or Employee pricing deals and then getting to reduce the price further with credits accumulated on my GM Mastercard, I happened to notice this statement on the website that has me skeptical at the moment:

"As of August 1, 2003, GM Card Earnings are not eligible to be used in combination with savings associated with the GM New Vehicle Purchase Program discount. The New Vehicle Purchase Program includes the GM Employee Purchase Program, the GM Dealership Employee Purchase Program, the GM Enhanced Dealership Employee Purchase Program and the GM Supplier Discount Program. You may be eligible for a New Vehicle Purchase Program discount if you are a current GM employee or retiree, or his/her family; an employee of a qualified GM supplier or an employee of a GM dealership."

Not sure what all that means, but it doesn't sound promising to be able to redeem GM card credits while also getting in on one of these other deals.

MReiland
10-06-09, 08:07 AM
gnxs, there are about 5 diferent GM cards, to my knowledge there is only 1 that is compatible with the discount, and it gives you a fairly low percent back. I am sure one of the dealers can chime in with the actual name of it.

THe GM Extended Family card is the only card that can be used to this date.. UNLESS you have the original GM card and there is very few of those left out there..
