I needed a baseline run before I do any modifications to the car. So, Northstar Performance team (me and 3 employees) went to the track this evening. It was a lot of fun! This was the best:

Reaction - .8840 (real bad)
60 ft - 2.2999
330 ft - 6.4108
1/8th ET - 9.7460
1/8th MPH - 74.49
1/4 ET - 14.9569
1/4 MPH - 92.98

This was running General Exclaim 235/55/ZR17 tires (near bald on the front), traction control on as it normally is, and taking off from a normal idle. I had a bit of wheel spin but not too much.

Most of my runs were flat 15s (15.01, 15.02) with the exception of one at 15.23 because the dang tranny didn't shift right into 3rd close to the end of the track, the tach hit 6500 and the rev limiter was kicking in. And one at 15.37 when I had a passenger with.

I think this is pretty good, considering I didn't even change the air filter for these runs. No modifications except the aftermarket catalytic converter and new head gaskets over a year ago.

Now I have a baseline to work with for future modifications to see if this can be improved.

I lost to a Cobalt SS, A Subaru WRX and some sort of a Nissan, but our 4000 lb Caddys aren't doing too bad at all! I met up with a guy from Kitchener, ON who has a 2010 CTS-V. He gave me a ride down the track in it- I think I fell in love with that car! I beat a few vehicles as well so STS's are nothing to laugh at.
