Well lately I've been wanting to do some visual upgrades to my Seville just to keep it fresh looking. I like the wheels that came on the car, but the finish is starting to peel off the inside of the spokes and they are extremely hard to clean. I've been looking into the '01-'03 Seville STS 17" wheels but they are beyond hard to come by, and looking around on the internet shows that i would have to spend $200 per wheel (w/o tire) to get them. I'd rather not spend that much money on a set of wheels. I was looking at a nice set of '08+ CTS wheels w/ tires for around $500 on eBay. I'm not sure how that would look on my car though (or if they would even fit; base 17" wheel). I also saw a '03 STS with a set of the '08 DTS base wheel and it actually looked nice too. Any other suggestions of wheels (i'd like to stick with Cadillac wheel design) or where I could find a good price on a set of 17" STS wheels? The 18" STS/DTS wheel is sexy too, but I'm not sure about price. I'm not looking to spends alot of money here. Probably $1300 max.
I've also been thinking of doing a nice tint on my car too. There is a guy in town who does a really good job with tint and doesn't charge too much. I've seen a silver STS like mine with tint and damn it looks good. Anything else I could upgrade on my car to keep it looking stock, but more modern? Thanks.

Ryan, the silver car cries out for a dark tint. It will
accentuate the curves of the STS' body.
Here are a few pics I dug up of my old STS'.

As you can tell, I like tint and chrome rims on my Sevilles.

Yeah I really think the tint will help the overall appearance of the car, plus keep it cooler in the NC summer. I really, really want the 17" STS wheels though. They will really help the car out alot and give it a meaner stance. Wouldn't mind the E&G billet grille either... think it would look really sexy with the silver car.

The Sterling Mist looks amazing at dusk.

This might look ghetto, but I liked the gold crest on the pearl paint job, set off
by Vogue rims and limo tint.

What percentage was the tint on your '01? The legal limit for NC is 32.5; not sure what I want to do yet on the car. So far it's going like this:
-Tint
-Strut tower brace
-17" STS Rims and Tires
-Possibly billet grille
Somewhere in there I've gotta get a new taillight - mine is taking on water thanks to a broken piece in the rubber seal. Gotta get the dent guy to pull some dents out of my roof too.

Ryan, my tint was quite illegal, around 25%.
Up here, I was never bothered ... interesting, as Orillia is the headquarters for the OPP, and
I work right beside the province's police headquarters.
On my drive home on city streets, I'm almost always side by side with a cruiser. Sometimes, I'd lower
my window and open the roof to make it less obvious, but never had any issues with tint.
On my black interior 1995, the tint was too dark.
On the beige interiors, I like'd it quite a bit.
I also loved drying the tinted windows after a wash ... they come up very deep and lustrous.
The strut brace is a great idea ... my 95 and 97 had one, and it stiffens things up.
The billet grille would look very nice against the Sterling Mist paint.
BTW, for ride quality, my 95 was pretty rough, my 97 was much more refined, my 98 had that damn
shimmy which ruined it for me, and the 01 was quite nice after I finally cured my shimmy.
RFB and new tires didn't cure it .... but .... old fashioned lead outside wheel weights almost completely
eradicated the issue.
There was nothing worse than being caught in the flow of traffic at 70mph, cursing the oscillating amusement park
ride that is a 98-04 STS. The outside weights made the car so much more enjoyable.
I traded the 01 STS on a 2000 LS400, then went to a 2000 ES300, then went for the brass ring with a 2004 LS430.
Different cars, not as sporty, but very well built isolation booths.
Not too many LS430's in Blue Onxy Pearl over Ecru leather and bird's eye maple trim.

Caddy's are still in my blood, though.
I would love the newer style STS in crimson pearl ... the restyle of Arts & Science has finally won me over. I just have to wait for the massive depreciation curve to catch up to that car
Good luck and post pictures of your upgrades ... love the colour of your car!
Heck of a prestigious car for a 19 year old, but you obviously share the passion.
So far it's going like this:
-Tint
-Strut tower brace
-17" STS Rims and Tires
-Possibly billet grille
I have done some mods. You may have seen the rims and the billet grille.
- I have a tint of 25% back, 30% front (prefer 25% all around)
- Sport Edition KV5 rims (18" x 8")
- Just tinted my tail lights, including the upper. It looks damn sexy.
- Just got my 3 pc Wings West spoiler (photo of product below)
- 1" Eibach drop on its way
- Have a billet grille that's powder coated glossy black (car has a black and red scheme)
- Flowmaster 40 Series mufflers

With your sterling STS, tint will look good. I like those 2001 STS rims pictured by Ted. You might consider a tint for the tails. The details are what set you apart. Keep it up.
