"Our server is being hammered with bounce-backs from members with email accounts that either no longer work or reject our notifications. It is very important that you take a moment to:

1. Update your email address in our system
2. Set your email client to accept messages from claziano@optonline.net (add to your white list)
3. UNSUBSCRIBE from topics/forum notifications that you no longer wish to receive from us

Accounts that continue to bounce back to our server will be terminated.

If you are receiving email notifications from us, you can IGNORE this message (obviously).

Thank you..."

If you would like to reduce some of the bounce backs, then I would suggest you allow those of us with 'gmail' accounts, profile access to the Forum. Every other Forum treats 'gmail' as legitimate e-mail accounts for Forum communication. There are those of us who have gmail tied into our Microsoft Outlook and use it on a regular daily basis as the primary means of home e-mail.

May be worth reconsidering.

Thank you for your suggestion. I am moving this to the question/suggestion/feedback section.

Sal will see it quicker there and will be the one who response to why or why not on G Mail.

I'm with you on that, Bandit1! Forum engine would not even take emails that are hosted on Google Apps. I guess they are checking the MX record for the domain... Anyway, GMail has very robust spam protection and I am yet to see a properly forged spam originated from GMail servers.

The only email address the forum engine allowed me to use is my corporate address. This is wrong in several ways.

And to top it off, did you ever see an ISP-provided email box that is more convenient and robust than GMail? ISPs should not be trying to sell "services". They shalt be data pipes! For everyone's good.

Let's see if Gods of this forum consider these technicalities :)
