To start off I am replacing the stock Bose radio in my '07 with a Kenwood DNX8120.

I purchased the Metra Axxess GMOS-LAN-02 and a Scosche GM1523B Dash kit ,for those who want to know, and wired it all up and had no chimes and no audio. Spoke with Metra on the phone and he had me check a code in the rear glove and asked me if I see a UQA and sure enough there it was in the 11th column. I had the correct module. I went back to the LES and asked for an exchange plugged it in in the parking lot and nothing..... Called Metra back and he was a bit perplexed at first and after a few minutes he found that I needed the LAN module with the A13 firmware. I had the A12 first then took it back for a replacement and they gave me an A10.

I just wanted to share this information with everyone.

I'll have the module with the A13 FW Tuesday..... I hope it works. Not sure what I'll do if it doesn't.....

:banghead:

Well it didn't work..... no chimes. Called Metra and the tech was perplexed. had me disconnect the battery for 10 minutes and pump the key twice to reset the computer.

I'm going to try the PAC OS-3BOSE next.

Success!! :yup:

The guys at the LES were very helpful. They found another kit.

A Scosche GM21SR works perfectly. Took a beautiful trip through upstate NY and Vermont. It worked all weekend without a problem.

Thanks for reading. :o

Why did you change the HU and what else did you change? Sub, speakers?

Did you retain the Bose speakers and stock locations. What about Onstar? Will it still work/display data on the aftermarket HU?
