My SRX will be 6 yrs old in October. (although I've only had it since June).
I'm starting to get bogus readings from a couple of the tire pressure sensors. I've heard the batteries are good for 5 years or so.
Any suggestions on a good replacement source?
And part number interchangeability for a 2004 SRX?
Thanks

We checked into the idea of replacing our TPMS sensor batteries when replacing the tires in May 2009; but we were told that the batteries are NOT replacable and that the sensors are very $$$$$. We opted to retain the OEMs. Guess that we will see what the real battery life turns out to be. Our 2005 SRX was assembled in Dec 2004
ps: GM TechLink Magazine (Jan 2003) featured the Hunter system used by Cadillac; the sensor is a sealed unit including the valve stem and is said to use a lithium battery with a 10 year life.

for my 2004 they are $37 on that website.
Still the original battery is only rated to last 5 yrs.
I replaced mine last year, however I could not program them unless I drove the car first (to activate them) or you may be able activate them with a magnet.
Only then can you pair them with the cars computer (As described in owners manual)
or just have a dealer/tire shop program them

FYI..the instructions in my 2004owner's manual were incorrect :thehand:. It had one of the steps out of order..There are correct instructions on this site.
Saved me a lot of fustration after my initial attempts were unsuccessful.

Also you need to be concerned about picking up the signal from an adjacent car that my have similar sensors.
Sort of a longshot but it was one of the warnings in my instructions
