Hey guys I just installed a 12" JBL with a JL 500/1 amp in my STS and need help indentifying my factory Bose subwoofer positive and negative wires. I want to hook up my LOC correctly, and my factory sub doesnt have any sort of pos or neg symbols on it. Which wire is the pos and which is the neg? One wire is blue and the other wire is green. Can I test these two wires somehow with a multimeter? Also i've been thinking of using a crossover instead of a LOC. I have this little crossover that has speaker level inputs and RCA outputs and was thinking this would be better than the LOC and allow me to filter out some of higher freqs. What are your thoughts on this? Any help is much appreciated.

You are running the factory sub and the JBL in a box?

Yep I have the JBL and factory sub running. I turned the bass all the way down on the HU so it doesnt stress any of my factory speakers at higher volumes. Sounds damn good for a LOC job. Does anybody know of a really good quality LOC? I can sometimes hear some ground noise when switching tracks with the one I have now.
