During ride home yesterday, AWD SRX 4.6 with 9300 miles, experienced lack of accelleration above 40mph, engine symbol displayed, and I was unable to remove key from ignition once I parked in driveway. Called on star for diagnosis-nothing out of ordinary found. While waiting for diagnosis to complete, ran through info menu and discovered transmission life percent read zero. Since dealer closed for the day, called dealer roadservice tech. He arrived and said the computer needed to be reset. That said, he removed the negative battery lead, waiting a few then, reconnected. Computer reset and system returned to normal after resetting clock.
Like others before me have stated, I am really ticked with the nav system mounted position and the small font size and background color. I hate it because I have trouble reading it in the day light hours. When I want to know the time, I look at my watch.
The dash board has its own color scheme, as does the nav system, as does the climate control system. What happen to the green big butt font on black background all around.
In the winter, the rear a/c control was factory set fully counter clockwise. Conseqently, in morning I felt like my right foot was in a bucket of ice cold water even when the heater kicked in. Dealer couldnt find the problem, said condition was normal but disconnected rear panel fans. I found that the next position to the right took care of the problem.
Remaining ticks are no way to determine what position the drive stick is in at night or day. My work around is to pull still all the way down until it stops, then move up one so I dont have to look down. another is the condensation build up on the rear door window in the winter or rainy day. To take care of this problem, use the rear windor blade. My work around was to add exhaust tips with a right angle so that the exhaust goes down to the ground rather than straight up like a chimmy to the glass. Finally, the infamous driver and passenger wind noise that drives me crazy and use the radio to drown it out. Have same noise annoyance on '04 DTS as well. Such is life in retirement.
