Hi everyone my 05 srx awd running OK from 0 to 40 but when cruising at about 40 and up when making an acelaration the engine responses slowly after making a vibrating and shaking alot and the Check-engine light blinking at the same time then remain come on. Does anyone has experience this before ? I did go to Advanced auto parts to get a scan but they said It could be a lot of diffrent reason and If I want to know exactly what happend there an only way go to Cad dealer (!)
Any advise would be greatly appreciated
what was the code? In the owners manual, a blinking check engine light means misfire. So tell us the code and we will help you.

I didn' t ask for the code because The guy who scanning said that the number tells him It could be one of these possible problems :
1.One of 6 cyl. misfired
2.The Ignition Coils ageing
3.The air filter is bad ( I did a check It s ok)
4.The spark lugs need replaced
The car is still on good mileage (17 mpg), running ok from 0 to 40 mph
Idle is normal
Oil consumtion is normal (no oil missing last 2000 mile )
I went to Cad dealer today in Fairfax, Virginia to get a check after 2 hrs checking they said the car ' s Timing Chain was stretched out so replacement cost total $1,900 !
I was so upset that time and the Service adviser told me that he will go talk with manager upstairs looking for some discount, after 10 min. he come back and tell me the dealer will take care of the car but I must pay the Today' s estimate cost of $125 and wait about 2 weeks to the timing chain coming and also I have to pay an extra $500 deductible and drop the car in about 2 days to fix It
I am surprised why this Cad dealer so nice with me because my car is out of the warranty ( over 4 yrs/ 50Kmi) amh I am not a new-car-buyer

I think you got off lucky; but once again; a Lexus does not have that problem; hopefully your dealer is mindful of that fact, and trying to win people over!!! That is an insane price for a timing chain; but paying 1/3 seems alot better!!
