Hi guys, I have a box of screws and such that I have and there is one thing in there that confuses me. I have a small harness about 8" long with a the part number of 90566407. Does anyone have a clue what this is for? I am unsure as I am doing my oil cooler at the time, and nothing is assembled. Thanks!

Why don't you call the dealer and ask them?

All they could tell me is it was a "Wiring Harness". I asked them if they had a picture of where it went and he said no, nor did he know where it went. I looked in the service manuals and couldn't find any pics of it anywhere.

A picture would help. Borrow or steal a digital cam and post the pic here. I plugged that part # in at all the popular GM parts houses and all it came back with was "harness" and no pic.

I can't believe how smart mouth the Caddy dealership got with me when I went there with the harness in hand with the part number. "We don't have time to waste looking up these damn parts. Take your Catera crap elsewhere."

I cannot believe he even said that.... lost my business, that's for sure!

Make sure you post who they were. I keep those types of dealerships in the back of my mind to never do business with.

Please also post a picture of the left plug

The left plug is identical to a fuel injector plug.

doesn't look like it. But the right plug looks like some kind of sensor hookup that's located at the back of the plenum on the driver side. Kinda close to the vacuum valve for the MultiRam system

So far no luck. I've been to 3 dealerships with the harness in hand with part number, and none of them could help me. It just worries me because I hate not knowing where something goes.

Hello All: Here's a thought. Could that possibly be a Diagnostic Harness left there by a mechanic. On eBay ther is one that could pass for what's in your pic. It's Item # 120380979826, and it's for a Kent Moore tool J-38791-90CATERA. Another number with it is 4T65E. I'd say its worth exploring. Regards, Brian
