Howdy

Got a local carnival in town (Klondike Days) with a live band performing every night. Nazareth plays tonight and if the weather breaks I 'll probably go down and watch 'em.

Best concert(s) I have been to are
Supertramp (early 80's)
Bee Gee's (mid 70's)
Garth Brooks (late 90's and I hate country music but wife is a huuuuuuuuge fan and he has a few good tunes and put on a great show)

Worst
Fleetwood Mac (Stevie Nicks was outta key , terrible sound system)

Regret not seeing (were playing in town over the years - price or previous commitments prevented me)
Eagles
Rolling Stones
David Bowie
Areosmith

While before my time but would love to have seen......
The Beatles
Jimi Hendrix

So many more but a start (Deep Purple / Pink Floyd / Black Sabbath bands though my teenage years .......)

Guns' N' Roses Sept. '92 was awsome! Brian May from Queen opened for them and he even suprised us with some Queen songs like "We are the Champions," etc.

I'm a big Stones fan, and would like to see them. They are always in Toronto and the stage is 5 stories high! Or so I've heard.

Daaccon, those band wee good, I remember Rush playing at out high school.
The tunes from the middle 70's were the best.
Ralph my daughter was at the big SCARS contect in TO last year. She AC/DC was much better then the Stones.
It scares me to see some of these old rockers on stage, I wonder how many Defibrillator they have back stage

Yeah ....good times ..Guns and Roses would be good to see.

Ihad a recent dicussion with my kids about my generation has the Stones in their 60's , Aerosmith in their 50's , Deff Lepord in their 40's still touring ..(can Add in Rush / AC/DC, a host of good old R&R bands) ...who will be around that long from today ? And the Kids like allot of the old stuff (Retro is cool ahahahah Queen , Van Halen, etc..)

Recently had a ball tournament in Vernon BC. Weather was hot and three nights of Beer Gardens and live bands - Thursday was "Merguery" (a Queen Tribute very good) - Friday was Trooper (in the 60;s at least the lead singer ) and Saturday was StreetHeart (again lead singer gotta be 60 ish!)

They all put on a great show and there were as many teenagers rocking there and people in their early 20's to my age age beyond ! (about 6 -7k people there each night!)

I love Rock and Roll

I loved ACDC, had every tape except '74 Jailbreak. What was that cool song on one of their '70's albums "got myself a Cadillac and I can't afford the gasoline....." Down Payment Blues?

The cool thing about the Stones is that your Grandpa could have seen them play in the mid-60's, and you can still take your Grandpa and go see them!! No one should make fun of that, I respect their young spirit. ;)

Never liked Rush, can't stand them despite how Canadian they are. April Wine is a good Canadian band I believe.

Remember, when the albums Blue , white, the picture of the Bat out Hell. You could read the words on the cover LOL.

My #1 album still would be Bat out of Hell by Meat Loaf

Remember going to the bar and they had a mens only room and then Ladies and escorts room, Ontario had some strange rules.

Would the Eagles country rock now?

Yep another Classic for sure "Paradise By The DashBoard Light" . Hard to Listen to that nowadays with a 15 yr old daughter!

My Favorite all time - hard to nail down - probably Supertramp - Crime of the Century or Breakfast in America, then again Pink Floyd Dark Side Of the Moon, and oh AC/DC Back In Black ......nope too many to nail down a favorite.

Other Album art I remember is Uriah Heap , Sgt. Pepper - The Beatles , The Stones had a few good ones...Yep now with CD cases it is a lost "art" ,but as a audiofile of sorts - digitially remasterd on the surround sound has it over my "stylis" weighed down by 3 or 4 pennies to help get through the scratches <ahahaha>, a fair trade off.

Best concert I've been to... Talib Kweli

The worst was Master P - I was hoping for a great concert as he is one of my favorite artists...but he underachieved.

I would like Pastor Troy to have a showing around here...

.

Other Album art I remember is Uriah Heap
Uriah Heep must be one of the 10 most neglected bands there ever was. They were great with songs like "Rainbow Demon", and "The Wizard." The early 70's man, way cool!

Jacob, we're too old to know who those bands are. ;) Master P is something I usually say to myself when I'm in the bathroom. :canttalk:
