I checked my oil life today and all it said was OIL LIFE %.
It was at around 90% when I checked it the other day. Anyone know why it would dissapear? I hit the reset button and now it's back to 100%

That is strange. The remaining life which is displayed is a complex algorithm. It is based on many factors collected by a whole bunch of vehicle sensors and then stored in the driver information computer. It may have been thinking, waiting on information or the battery was weak. Please keep us posted.

This I do know. More than a year, it disappears. Must be the you have to change it at least once a year small print.

I changed the oil about a month ago. Maybe I didn't give it enought time to think...I figured 10 minutes should have been enough.. Maybe I should have turned the car off and on again.. maybe I shouldn't have reset it..Now I newed to remember to change it at 60% instaed of 50%..

Maybe - on your last oil change they used experimental lifetime molecularity altered synthetic oil, that is to last the lifetime of the car. The SRX sensors picked up on the nuclear radiation and removed the % number since you would never have to change the oil - it could not use 0 percent because that would indicate you needed a change now... and 100% means you just changed your oil today. so No % was the most accurate display it could use.
Never second guess a computer - they are smarter then you are! Just ask Microsoft!

I checked the last jug of oil I used..It was Mobil 1.. not some lifetime oild so we can rule that out. Anyway..it appears to be calculating again..
I had that happen to me once before. I didn't do anything and after a day or so it came back with seemingly the correct %.

I'll need to be more patient next time..
