To spot a 2010 CTS-V, the emblems on the rear deck are now reversed! The V badge is on the right side of the rear decklid.

Wow, they really went out of their way.

That's what you get for no price increase. Great news for 2009 owners.

Isn't the front bumper smooth now for the 2010 V which no longer has the headlamp washer nozzles?

That is another way to tell from the exterior. I guess you would have to be facing the front of the car in order to see that change.

Eh? The switched badges sound like a production error to me.

No. Still has the washer nozzles.

Actually, not a bad change since it reads CTS V as viewed from the rear. PICS? Did you take delivery of a '10?

So how many are going to swap badges to pump up the ego?

...or to just flat out try to trick people, you evil basterds...

Has anyone picked up the '10 and had it long enough to know if they fixed the sunroof popping, wheel clicking or other '09 issues noted on this board? Mine is scheduled to be built in 2 weeks and I am hoping those issues are a thing of the past.

My sunroof doesn't pop, wheels have never clicked, dash doesn't creak and the Recaros are bolted on tight. However, the rear tires do lose traction under heavy acceleration! I doubt the '10's have a fix for that.

No issues with my 09 V's sunroof. This car is amazing. :cool2:

They also made some changes to the transmission mounts and possibly a recalibration to the transmission on the regular CTS. i can assume these were done to the '10 V2 also?

I don't have a sunroof or Recaro seats (didn't want either), so I don't have to worry about those issues. I have not had a creaking dash or clicking wheels, yet.

Are the non-Vs switched too?

I don't know about you guys but I have had 6 cars with either a sun or moon roof. They all "creaked" at one time or another. With the Plexiglas or what ever the new term is for it that they use, the entire vehicle is not ridged like a true hard top. Unless it is leaking or not working, I would not worry about it.

I'm not getting this thread. Are you guys saying there should be a difference visually for the 2010? Why should there be, for bragging rights?

Mostly to compare....

Wondering if they included some stealth or visible change to differentiate the year models.. or for performance reasons.... or to see if they cleared up an issue that may or may not have been an issue to the 09 model.... etc

The GM badges on the sides of the car will be removed also.
(if they haven't been already)

Usually new options or improvements come along with a new model year (both visible and mechanical). This helps to create more value for the newer model and unfortunately devalue the older one. It is commonly referred to as model year depreciation (i.e., a new 2009 will be worth less than a new 2010 even though the warranty period is the same).
