1. Any difference between AWD wheels and 2WD wheels (i.e. can I put 18" wheels taken off a 2WD V8 and and put them on my AWD V6)?
2. How does the tire pressure monitoring work? And if I put aftermarket wheels on, will it still finction?
Thanks:
JC

The tire pressure sensors are in the valve stems so as long as you use your existing valve stems or the ones from the OEM 18" wheels, the pressure indicators will work.

That's cool! How does it work? Are they battery operated and radio'ing the car? Are there wires involved? Bluetooth would be awesome! (I doubt it.) If I get new tires someday at Costco, is the $6/hr tech there going to screw these up?
I can't picture how this might work... :hmm:

The sensor is all within the valve stem so as long as whom ever changes your tires, leaves the valve stems in, you should be fine. Or if you changes rims, you have to put the factory stems in the new rims.
This info is all within this site somewhere. Just do a search. There are a lot of people that have already changed there tires and rims so maybe they can respond.
