Buddy of mine has a 94 S10 with the 4300 motor and A/C . He just had a baby so money is tight , thought id take care of the A/C for him ,havent gotten to look under the hood yet but i wanted to find out whats in there if its indeed r134a or r12 .

Im pretty sure its r134a as my deville was redesigned for 1994 and so was the S series pickup so i figure GM thought ahead to the 1995 mandate that all systems be r134a by makeing the all new 1994 models with the r134a refigerant. Ive seen the 1994 Blazers had 12 but they were off the old design and didnt get the new skin till a year or so later ......

FYI all 1994 models had R134a, federal regulations... Some 1993 models even had it...
