Thanks c5 rv 08-22-09, 01:21 PM Yes, my 91 has a power trunk pulldown. It's a feature Cadillac should have never deleted. Ieradi 08-23-09, 11:00 AM I have a burned out motor I took out of a 92 that you are welcome to salvage any parts from if they're worth it! I picked up a new one for $45 (whole unit) plus shipping. Tony Dave S Texas 08-23-09, 11:14 AM Thanks for the replies. I've already replaced the motor, going by the FSM. I replaced my perfectly good motor with a new motor for no reason whatsoever. (the good motor I replaced is in the Cadillac Classifieds along with it's plastic housing). The FSM recommendation, to replace the motor because of the bad diode, isn't the cure. When Cadillac says to replace the part, they look at the whole unit as one piece (motor/plastic housing/switch).....going by that logic it is the correct thing to do. I, and other mechanic-types look at it as being 3 separate pieces, which is why I've been hunting the switch. I've located a NOS switch, so all is good. I appreciate the help. Thank you.
