After using this site for the past few days I realize that having only a single forum section for a certain type of car makes it really difficult to find what you want and weed out the stuff that you don't. Then everyone wouldn't have to have the Oil Change and Transmission Fluid stickies at the top of the page every time since they would belong under DIY & Repair or whatever.

Can we please please pretty please get some sub-forums under each car model (or at least the Escalade section I care about :D ) I see there is something similar to what I want under the general section.

Acurazine has it setup fairly well..

My suggestion would be something like:

Cadillac Escalade, EXT and ESV Forum - 1999 - 2006
\
Wheels & Tires
Audio & Electronics
Performance
Exterior
DIY & Repair
Pictures & Videos
etc.

Then things could be sorted out so you could search for grille in the exterior section and not get a bunch of threads about speaker grilles. ;)
I'd even volunteer to sort the old threads out into the right places.

Thanks for considering my suggestions..

Take a look at the CTS section and the CTS-V section. We just started doing it to our busiest sections first to test the waters out.
They are broken up into 3 sections
General Discussion
Performance
Appearance
If it turns out well we will be working on more section of the forums.

So far it seems to be a 50/50 on people liking it/not liking it.

I'm just curious why people wouldn't like it? I think having things nicely organized would encourage more people to sign up and contribute, thus eliminating the issue of the conversations being spread too thin.

^that's the thinking. And I tend to think it will. I just think alot of people are going to gloss over the subforums. I know I do :D

I'm seeing a lot of names that are new in the V forums since the split- I don't know if they just post more now or if they're new members, but it seems to have increased posting from newbies. We've also picked up a few new performance vendors since adding a dedicated performance section. Coincidence? Maybe, maybe not.
