Just looking to see if there is anyone else out there from the Minneapolis area. I just traded in a Jag X-type for a CTS-V that is basically stock. Looking for good ideas and to make any neccesary mods. Probably not a lot of performance until next spring, but more apperance. I just finished painting the Brembo's red and putting on new Brembo stickers, but that is about it. Would love to hear from anyone in the area.

Hey hey, glad to have another MN member. I'm down in Eagan. We've got a few members from the Twin Cities. Post some pics of the V when you get a chance, and last but not least, welcome!

Will do! I am deciding if I want to plasma cut out a new skull and wreath to replace the crest on the grill before I post. But worst case I will do that this weekend.

I am a block off Lake Nakomis and I work in Eagan! I have used that strip down 77 a few times to get a feel for the car! Actually the strip down 35E quite a bit too. It is a 2005 with 18k miles.

I was on Cedar in Apple Valley one night about 2:30 in the morning in my '99 S320 Mercedes, and the exit from Cedar onto 35E Northbound is where I took it up to 134mph. I got on that exit at about 75 mph (in a 65 zone) and punched the throttle and just past the Cliff exit is where I got 134 mph. Crazy.

What part of Eagan do you work in?

Just visited the twin cities a few weeks ago, and spent an afternoon at that little mall you have up there. :welcome5: to the forums, and congrats on getting a great car.

I never pay attention to where everybody lives. :thepan: I need to do a better job about looking people up when I travel. I'd love to meet some of you guys face to face.

We're going to Orlando again the week of Sept 13th. If any of you schlubs will be in the area drinks are on me.

Minneapolis. I'm not sure of what area of the city we were in because I don't know the area that well. They drove us around while we were there. I know there were a lot of very nice asphalt running trails around his home. We went for drinks at some restaurant that overlooked a big lake. The kids were feeding some of the biggest carp I've ever seen just off the docks there. When we ran out of bread and fries they threw chicken bones to the carp from the hot wings we were eating. MN have carnivorous carp!!! Be afraid.:hide:

Nice to see another Twin Cities V owner! Might see you around. I work up at 35W and 494 just of Penn. Enjoy the car, I know I do.

Some day we should organize a test and tune or like to Brainerd or Rock Falls for the MN folks.

I'd like to do RF in my GS. They have a few test and tunes before the season closer in the end of October.

I know they have an event on October 24 - good cool air that time of year :) I was thinking of heading up for that. Starts at 9:00 AM through until 3:30 PM then they have a bracket race. $69 for the day. $30 more to enter the bracket competition afterwards. I would go to an earlier event but my son has football Saturday mornings. Now, I am not 100% sure, but do they do the test and tune on Sunday, as well? Or, just the Saturday? The schedule always notes two days. I could definitely head out almost any Sunday.
