So I'm ready to pull the trigger on an all fluid change on the V but need some info from someone who has already did a trans fluid swap on an auto tranny..... How many quarts is needed for the change out?
Also anyone change out the brake fluid? How much fluid did it take to change it out?

TIA

There is a thread from a little while ago I have bookmarked that has the info you're looking for.

http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/cadillac-cts-v-series-forum-2009/163892-filled-all-3-holes-up-amsoil.html

I believe for a full flush of the auto tranny, it calls for 14 quarts.

More of the capacities are listed on the Amsoil page. Just navigate to the 2009 CTS with the 6.2L and it will show you most of the capacities.

Hope this helps,

I saw 2 numbers so was wondering if I "really" needed 14 qts.... Was wondering if anyone has "actually" completed a tranny fluid change on a auto and "knows" for fact how much auto tranny fluid was needed....

Pulled the trigger on 7qts 0-30w Signature Amsoil, 2 qts diff w/ additive and all 3 filtermags. Will change out the tranny fluid later. Gonna try and stop by http://www.hendersonperformance.com/ tomorrow and see what's going on there for the LSA motor.

Nevamind... only open for appointment only on Saturdays.....

BTW District 9 was pretty good.....
