I am getting a E-52 code on my 92 sdv., PCM memory reset,it also says
"reset, see note" I couldn't find a note, I disconnected my battery a few days ago for about half an hour, could this have caused this reading?.
What does pcm mean?, thanks

If the battery has been disconnected for any purpose, code E52 will set. The PCM/ECM keeps a running check on the memory, if memory changes, it resets.

PCM/ECM = Powertrain Control Module / Engine Control Module

Completely harmless...

Thanks for reply,I was getting an E-31 and E-74 readout before,(I know what they mean) would this new E-52 be blocking these readings?,what I'm getting at, are 31 and 74 still probably valid?.How do I erase 52 to clear readout display,so that I can see if 31 and 54 are still valid.

There's no way to know now whether they were stored in history or were current, but they will show up again if the problem is still there...

Have you driven it much since you unhooked the battery?

To clear codes, wait till the end and press and hold OFF and HI on the climate control...

No , I haven't driven the car since, I will try again to clear with Off and HI, or should it be driven?.

Ok lets start over, put the keys in and run your diagnostics...

At the end it should show .7.0 , if you want to clear your codes press and hold OFF and HI until E.0.0 shows, now your codes are cleared...

Your "E95" is probably E.9.5 - check it again - you must have pushed HI only or didn't push them both at the same time...
