It seems that the Cadillac was the first production V-8 engine, in the early part of the last century. Interesting and informative history. I've owned a '41, with the 346 CI flathead, a '49 with the first OHV 331 CI V-8, a '53 with that same engine, a '55 with that engine, and a '65 with the 429 CI engine, plus the more recent 500 CI in a '76 DeVille, and the infamous 4.1 in my '85 FWD Fleetwood.
