I bought an 03 Deville DHS several months ago with 46,000 miles on the clock. It is one sweet ride with one exception: the brakes.

At anything above 35mph when the brakes are applied I feel a pulsation. I was thinking rotors, so I replaced the front rotors and pads with GM replacement parts. I cleaned the hubs and mounting surfaces and installed everything. I took the car out to season the rotors, and the very first brake cycle the exact same pulsation was present.

I tried using the emergency brake at about 55 mph and everything was smooth. This told me the problem is coming from the front.

I noticed the pulsation frequency is much faster than a rotor problem. I don't know where to look next. It is not pronounced, but it is apparent. There are no codes present, either current or history. Anyone have any ideas? TIA

Before spending a whole lot of mullah, cnsider checking the front wheel hub assemblies. If bad, they will let the rotors have way too much axial play. Had the same problem.....replaced front hub assys., all rotors(EBC), front calipers(A1Cardone remans.), replaced rubber lines with Goodridge SS lines, and of course fresh EBC pads. All is good now. Good Luck
