I am small but powerful, I control worlds under your hood, when I go, charge failures, catastrophic idles, and misfires are abundant..... Who am I?

Huhuhuhuhhahahahahahahaaaaa!!

Would you happen to be an internal component to the Alternator (voltage regulator perhaps), that is not sending enough current to the ignition coil, causing random misfires.

You're off the trail Cadsy!! I thought you were brighter than that!! The clues are right in front of you!! You've got 'til 8 PM tonight or I'll give Gotham City a light show they won't soon forget!!!

It's too late, you failed to solve my riddle and guess a simple LIGHTBULB!! I even gave you a pitiful time bonus but you failed to LIGHT up an idea! Just as a burnt out NO CHARGE light opening a circuit can extinguish an alternator's output causing ECM and engine chaos, thousands of lives will now be extinguished!!

HAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAA!!!

What's an ECM? You're obviously not talking about your 76 Coupe deVille which I bet has no such BS. :)

Holy random thread revival, Batman!

Wouldst thou be a fuse?

Ah. A fuse they all have, but one fuse they share not.

Though it is one fuse they all obey.

This is the circuit I riddle about:

Which fuse do they obey?

Alas, I deserve partial credit for discovering the fuse.

^It's the LTR fuse^

Long story, but somehow while installing a new under hood light socket, the connector arched on the hood and blew the fuse. When I turned the car on, I noticed that radio was dead, my cell phone was dead, the instrument panel was dark, and there was no alarm when I put the key in the ignition, with the door open. I looked at the circuit description for the under hood light, which said it was protected by the LTR. The description for the LTR circuit said that it only protected the under hood lamp, glove box light, and driver's cigar lighter.

That left me questioning why the radio, audio alarm, and panel were all dead. All of their circuit descriptions said they were controlled by separate fuses, and none (except) the audio alarm mentioned the LTR at all. I found one diagram that showed each component routed off a splice, coming off the LTR fuse. So the LTR fuse being bad, caused an open to the splice, which killed everything routed to the splice.

Just a little advice for those who happen to lose the radio, audio alarm, and panel lights at the same time, check the cigar lighter, glove box light, and under hood lamp; you might have blown the LTR.
