hmm...seems like a good one to me :nono: but the XLR is so much better looking. and wait until the V comes out for the XLR, then we'll see who will sprint to 60 faster.

Problem is, is that I can buy one of those and put another 10 grand in German tuner crap into it....get 500hp or some crazy # like that. And still come out better too.......when I think about these two cars almost do compete too.

The XLR isn't meant to be a dragstrip superstar. None of the new Caddys are (not even the Vs). If you have ever driven a Crossfire, you know that it isn't in the same league as the XLR no matter how many horses they put under the hood.

I know that buy the facts but when you put them in front of a consumer......they see them both as premium 2 seater roadsters..........then they see the price of the XLR and then they read that the SRT has Benz underpinnings and you get the picture...

Im sure that wont happen to many....but it could sway a few.....you never know.

True, I wouldn't even consider it in the same league as the XLR regarding technology, even with the Mercedes influence. Comparing numbers could be interesting.

That is where I compare them at....#'s.....alot of people just see them as 2 door roadsters.....one being much more expensive then the other....it takes a true car guy/gal to realize the Caddy is the superior......face it....some car buyers (alot) are dumb as hell.

There isn't one single ,'true' XLR potential customer that will buy a Crossfire, period! Crossfire customers are more likely to be Corvette buyers that for whatever reason want something different. Even if it's much slower and uglier! :D

My grandparents were and so was my neigbor..........but they ended up cross shopping something else......300C...go figure.......car buyers are a wierd breed. :bonkers:

A hellava lotta people go to the car lot never knowing what they want.....they walk off the lot with some big excursion or pos camry......half the time they pay more then the cars are worth.

Thats why I think Toyota does so good cause they got the reputation so people think oh ill get a toyota the seem great when you can get a Subaru just as reliable and much much cooler and what not(based on the 2005 legacy). Shoot i would take a Corvette over a CrossF SRT same price and a whole lot faster. And the XLR is in diff class just like its competitors.

I agree, its just the dumb@ss consumers that are misinformed or just.......dumb@sses that make manufactures think that they can get away building pos's (which they do, by the way)

I agree that the crossfire should have been this way from the beginning... I saw one and they look pretty sharp, but they really dont compare....

Its kinda like comparing a Neon SRT4 to a CTS... There really isnt any comparison. The XLR is to compete with the MB S (L) (LK) class, jaguar XK and the other luxury coupes..

I think that when we are at red lights, and one of these cars is beside us, we care then! I would take the Vette over all of these mentioned, except the XLR. there is just something about it. Luxury in a roadster with the Cadillac name=priceless. :worship:
