I have a 2002 deville and I live in Dubai. The dealer told me that the rear shock is leaking. I am not sure what type of suspension I have to determine purchasing the rear shock(s).

I have looked up the RPO codes and found the following, but do not know what they mean:

FE7 (http://www.cadillacfaq.com/rpo/rpo4.php?rpo=FE7)
6CF (http://www.cadillacfaq.com/rpo/rpo4.php?rpo=6cf)

Do I need to change both rear shocks, and can I purchase shocks from Monroe distributor direct, if so which one?

TRY www.GMPARTSDIRECT.com
As far as Monroe shocks go, I had them on FRONT of my lincoln TOWN CAR and they were shot after 10 thousand miles, so i never looked at them again when it came to replace shocks on my 01 Deville.
You should ALWAYS replace Both Sides.
GOOD LUCK

Thanks for the reply and link. I am looking at the catalogue, but there are 2 links for "suspension components" , I assume that the deville is built with 2 different types of suspension....how do I determine what I have?

Should be the first link...part #22 if you have the air-ride. They are usually around a $100-$200 range.
I purchased mine from Arnott. Lifetime warranty and $240.00 a pair.
