my local Ford dealer puts older cars in the back of his bulding. i noticed a deville there and stopped.it is a 97 all black awsome condition. 95,000 mi.
i went in to see about it and was told it will be crushed due to the fact it is a clunker trade in. i could not believe it. i left there feeling sick to think this is going to be crushed. How many other nice cars are going to suffer the same fate?:ill:

yup, unfortunately, even in excellent condition, blue book trade-in is only $2500, maybe $3000 on a 97 Deville with only 95k miles.

the owner may have gotten equivalent to the clunkers rebate if he/she sold the car as a private party, but this is the quick and easy way at the expense of the taxpayer as well as someone who could've bought the Caddy.
