My mechanic told me that my struts on my 2000 are the original ones he said they could use changing but i might be able to get some more time on them
i was looking around and the only things i can find are the passive conversion kits
i dont want to do a conversion i want to stay electronic
does anyone know anywhere to pick up the OEM struts without spending a fortun
are there any places that sell remanded or aftermarket Electronic struts
Thanks

Take a look at the RPO (Regular Production Option) sticker under the spare tire cover. In the list of codes is there an F45 ?? That's electronic suspension (CVRSS), and if you want to keep it you're in the high-dollar business. No way around it. Looks like they're $700+ each in www.rockauto.com.
Milk it as long as you can - does your car's handling give you reason to replace the struts now, or is it steady, smooth, and reasonably comfortable to drive ???

When you become convinced your struts have failed (as in the front suspension rebounds too many times), you can get the original GM parts here;
Palm Chevrolet Cadillac Saab of Gainesville
2600 N Main Street
Gainesville, FL 32609
352-376-7581
Cadillac Parts Department
Have your VIN available.
Of course, you would have to install them or pay someone to do it. It's not a major job but requires some shop tools and a good torque wrench. Alignment is not necessary.

No one rebuilds struts. But ACDelco and Monroe both list electronic strut part numbers.
