you might want to be a little more constructive in your criticism

Overall, this board is better.......... Sure, the quick reply may not be as convienient, but there are MANY more features (especially for the moderators)...... And the update isnt quite complete.....

Obviously, it would be stupid for Sal to DOWNGRADE the system...... It would be like going to windows 3.1 when windows 98 is running fine!

But then you could look at it another way too. What about going to Win 98 when Win ME is running fine? Newer isn't necessarilly better. Especially with regards to computers or computer software.

Keep in mind this is a beta relase of vBulletins 3.0 - there will be many improvements and enhancements as it becomes finalized, then updated. There will be lots of features previously unavailable, including I suspect options for changing the look on a per user basis. Give it time.

Katshot, I agree with you - it's generally accepted that WinME, well, sucks, and that you should stick with Win98 Second Edition or move up to Windows XP (or 2000 for business). Not that ME is unusable, but Win98SE is just a much more developed 16 bit application, and ME is a transitional conglomeration of 16 and 32 bit code. XP/2000 is pure 32 bit. Many of the features of XP/2000 were tried out in ME first, but in terms of speed, stability, and features ME is just outclassed. Give me a machine running Win98SE over ME any day.

Whatever operating system to use really isnt the point of this thread, I used it to make a point

Overall, I think <once all the upgrades are complete> you will be happy with the new system!

It's ok because I don't think the pic section is up anyway. I really appreciate you doing this Wes, when it is possible of course.

I sent Sal an email and instructions on how to fix that. Very simple fix infact. Talk to Sal.

What is it about this upgraded system (of the same board) that you don't like? What did you like better before?

In regards to PhotoPost - I just don't have enough time to sit down and fix it AND have time left-over incase it doesn't work. NOT that the FIX doesn't work - but I may mess something up. So, I can't do anything until I have that time - which will probably be never. So, I'm waiting patiently for the next upgrade and I'll pay for installation. It's just way too important (to me) to mess up...

I don't like how along the top of the page where you sign in at and when you do sign in it there's like 5 little buttons with arrow's that don't tell ya what they are for. Overall there is just too much buttons and arrow's all over the place. The other one ws a lot easier to read and use and everything was explained.

Those buttons are just temporary..... They will be replaced by buttons that express their meaning....... Once the update is completely complete, they will have pictures that show what they do.......

Hey. I didn't see that email.. What can you do and how can you do it? The only thing I'm afriad of when it comes to a temporary fix - is what happens when the next version comes out..

What does the fix actually do? What options would be available?
