Took the 04 CTS demo home last night. Took line-tap frequency spectrum readings on all channels. ALL channels are full range. The Tweeters have a cap on them. When I say all, I mean ALL including the ND Subwoofer. I measured AT the sub, and it was full range. I don't know if there is an internal (and I mean internal) crossover, or if BOSE just uses normal roll-off, but I bet installation of a passive, inline crossover right there at the BOSE sub on the positive (really easy to access) would net better bass.

Looks like the DSP really isn't the DSP we expect. Looks mostly like the amp moves watts between speakers, because the spectrum averages did not change when you changed DSP, but the db's changed cross the complete spectrum.

Overall an enlightening experience. I feel the U66 Non-Bose amplifier is actually better since it internally is crossed over (tweeter freq. to tweeter and mids to mid), rather than using a cap at the tweeter and sending full range to the front door mids. But the BOSE speakers are probably of better sound quality...

What size choke coil would you recommend?
