does anyone know of someone sucessfully installing any lsx engine in one of these chassis? I have the opportunity to get one for 18 wrecked but i am not a fan of the northstar.

The the XLR is a Y chassis car - which is the same as the corvette. In fact it was built out of the same plant as the 'vette...

The chassis is only 1" longer at some point (I believe its near the rear to make room for the folding top).

It even has the same tranny as the vette..

My guess is that it should be reasonably trivial to put a LS engine into it - especially if you just treat it like a vette.

Physically it can be done with minor modification. It's the electronics that will be your biggest hurdle as the interface from the BCM and the ECM will not communicate. Unless you are going to run some type of standalone system to control the engine and deal with the BCM faults seperately then you might be able to get away with that. You also might want to try mallet cars, they do a lot of LS engine swaps, as a matter of fact, I think they put them in EVERYTHING.
