the last few weeks i have had a problem with the check windshield washer fluid the message had come on the display every time i start the car or put it in park it comes back up but the washer fluid is full so its not low
Any help please with what this could be .

also are our cars supposed to have a light or message that will come on when a tail light is burnt out or a turn signal is burnt out just curious on this because
my old Lincoln i know Lincoln and Cadillac are totally different cars but they are both hi end with alot of the same features my old Lincoln use to tell me when i light was burnt out so i was just curious is this supposed to happen and if it is not coming on the msg screen is something wrong and what should i check to make sure it works.

thank you

Relax. Not a large percentage of the board population feels windshield washer fluid level is a "leave you stranded on the side of the road" issue.

Two possibilities.

1) The chassis wire harness or connector is damaged - corroded - or simply not connected to the bottom of the reservoir.
You will probably have to remove the reservoir to access the chassis wire harness.

2) The magnetic float switch inside the reservoir has failed.
Replace the reservoir.

Or jumper the two pins in the chassis wire harness connector to remove the float switch from the circuit.

"also are our cars supposed to have a light or message that will come on when a tail light is burnt out or a turn signal is burnt out".

No.

Most (modern) car makers use a turn signal flasher that "flashes fast" when a turn signal bulb has failed.

As for tail lamp bulb warnings, local law enforcement would point you in the direction of a failed tail lamp.

Failed brake lamp filaments "can" flag traction control and other "C" codes.

A monthly "walk-around" lamp inspection is worthwhile.

when i ope the cap and look inside the reservoir i see the orange float floating at the top of the tank is that bad ?
is that supposed to be there or is it supposed to be at the area where the sensor is
