I want to tint all the windows except for the windshield on my 97 seville sts. I was looking into saving a couple bucks and just doing it myself. Anybody have any experience with this? Would it be better to just drop the extra cash and get it done professionally?

Also anybody know any quality DIY tint kits? I've found a whole bunch of products online but I have no idea what's quality and what's not.

I did it for a time in the 80's when we had our detail shops, I tried to do my 2003 Escalade when I purchased it in 2002, after not doing it for 20 plus year my effort was very poor, and I was only doing the driver and passenger windows are the rest of the truck came that way, I removed my poor work and had it done by a local shop, glad I did it looked perfect, since then I sent my last 4 Escalade's there. :)

I agree. I have done it before, and unless you do it alot you just cant get that professional look. Hell even some tint shops around here dont do good work. Its not really that expensive to get it done anyways. One of the best local shops near me will do a STS size car for $160.
