I posted this in the Deville Forum as well...not sure where I might get the needed answers so I posted here too. Sorry for the redundancy.

I just purchased a used 2004 Deville with 74,000 miles. Last night was the first time I drove it at night, and noticed the interior courtesy lights will not come on.
They will work individually when their switches are turned on, but when the door is opened or when the remote unlock button is pressed, they don't come on. Also, they will not come on when the dash light dimming knob is turned to the full on position
I'm assuming the fuse/relay is OK since the lights will work by their individual switches. Also, I'm assuming the door switch is working since it will turn off the radio when the door is opened.

I doubt this is related, but I pulled some codes...here is the list:

ABS C1298 History
IPM B0429 Current
IPM B1004 History
IRC U1016 History
PCM U1040 History
RCC B1009 History
SDM U1000 History

So, I guess I have 2 questions:

Any suggestion about the interior courtesy lights?
Are any of the above codes worth worrying about?

Thanks for your assistance!!!

I was unable to edit the above post, so I am adding this...

EDIT...
I just checked the following fuses:
#13 - Interior Lamp Dimmer Module
#17 - Interior Lamps
#38 - Dimmer
All of the above fuses are fine

There is relay, #51 - Interior Lamps, it feels warm. But, I'm not sure how to check to see if it is working properly

Also, I found a service bulletin for this, and other, problems.
It is bulletin #3357 - issued January 2001
Here is what it states:
UNWANTED ALARM ACTIVATION, TRUNK KEY CYLINDER HARD TO OPEN, TRUNK AJAR LAMP ON, FUEL GAUGE INOPERATIVE, RKE INOPERATIVE, INTERIOR LAMPS INOPERATIVE AND/OR NO COMMUNICATION WITH THE REAR INTEGRATION MODULE (RIM). ( NHTSA ITEM NUMBER - 10013543 )

The only problem I'm experienceing is the INTERIOR LAMPS INOPERATIVE

Any help from anyone?

Thanks again!!!

Disconnecting the battery reset whatever was wrong...lights work fine now
