Driving down the road, strange noise.............seemed to be speed dependent..................sounded like a branch got caught under the car.........pulled over.............Not the engine cover...................but the cover under the car on the driver side that covers the tie rod and suspension components was hanging down.

My brother in law brought some baling wire out and we wired it up. Couldn't find any fasteners or bolts etc.
Took it to the Cadillac dealer in Wilkes Barre that we took the CTS to last year................
They said that the fasteners had fallen out. They replaced and we are mobile again. They said it could happen again.........as they didn't know what caused the problem in the first place.
That's what they said last year too when the CTS couldn't get the gas from one side of the gas tank to the other................

I'm not upset. But I grow tired of being laughed at by my wife's relatives as every time I come up here with a new Cadillac, it fails.

Bottom line: Check the fasteners under the car. ALL the fasteners......
I think I'll buy a couple extra and throw them in the glove compartment.

I've seen that on someone elses Caddy on the road and didn't thing nothing of it. That's interesting. I do know after having taking mine off to change the bulbs they tend to be pretty loose but none have yet to fall off.

Looks like this may be a common problem.

I had taken mine in twice for front end noise...NO PROBLEM FOUND...both times.

Got under the front of the car one day...just looking around...the cover was loose. The fasteners were all still there...but the holes were wallowed out and not holding it tight...

Took it back...went straight to the service managers office...showed him the two work orders,,,and had him come out and look at it his self.

He apologized to me...called a tech...they took it back to the shop...put a NEW lower cover and all new fasteners on it.
Had it ready for me in about 15 minutes.

My front end noise went away too. :cool2:
