I posted comments on another thread that are clearly sympathetic to Jesse’s performance products and his immense contributions to our (very small) CTS-V community in general (see http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/cadillac-cts-v-series-forum-2009/175574-dyno-part-deux-4.html). But I have to admit that I found Florian’s comments regarding your and CadV’s complaints to be a bit harsh. I’m hoping he intended them to be humorous.

As musclesbmf has noted, it does speak well for the forum that moderators have not censored the complaints. I’m a great believer in free speech, and the exchange of different points of view – especially absent any “name-calling.”

I sincerely hope you are able to ultimately resolve all the frustrating issues you have confronted.

A couple of things:

1) Florian harsh? I don't think you've seen Florian harsh yet. :lildevil:
2) I'd suggest that some folks tread lightly here. Having been banned myself (since invited back and refused) I would suggest a pull back. Not an apology by any means, just a pull back because getting banned DOES happen.
3) Finally - In before the lock.

That thread went on longer than any other forum would have allowed it to. I think everyone got to say their piece of mind, and there was really nothing else being contributed.

I'd suggest everyone be happy that this forum doesn't immediately delete any criticism of vendors (like they all do), and I'd also suggest taking grievances with a Moderator to the Private Message system. Publicly berating the people who take their own time to keep this place running is not a good idea- it's basically saying "I'll show ME!"

I find it incredible this guy can say whatever he wants- not knowing who he is even speaking to- and WE have to fear being banned-

If this forum where a country I would liken it to Iraq under Sadaam Hussain

All mods are just regular members with the added responsibility of housekeeping the forums. We answer (just like you) to the owners/administrators of this site.

I'm moving your thread because this has nothing to do with 09 V. You may PM Brett or LordCadillac directly if you'd like to complain about a mod. Or you can report the offending post just like you'd report any other.

I am not a fan of the way kencav made the issue with W4M so personal but I think the forum responded as expected. The membership in general believes that W4Ms presence as a forum supporter and a personal enthusiast outweigh whatever problems kencav had with him. Perhaps the thread needed to be closed but I don't think moderators should become embroiled in personal attacks. This is not your sandbox alone Florian. I, as well as other members, expect you to act like a grownup, especially when others do not. The entire mod team's respect suffers because of your actions.

I am a moderator on another site and I know how irritating this can become. I understand that many members can not see anyones point of view but their own and will argue endlessly about it. I also realize that it is much easier to "put them in their place" but that typically makes members feel oppressed. I don't think that is what the mod team is after.

The only adivice I would like to offer is, BE NICE.

I would just add that our members get WAY more latitude with their posts than you would EVER see on other forums. If you want to kill 45 minutes and see how MOST forums really operate, I suggest the link below. I argued privately over 3 private messages, never swore and never personally attacked anyone and yet was banned.
