heys guys i bought a set of nos uniroyal royal seal gold tires on ebay and just put them on my car it looks great really makes the car, however i did notice that the right front tires had a slight bulge in the sidewall so what i did i moved that tire to the right rear and now you can hardly see the bulge (also reduced psi from 30lbs to 28lbs). in this situation i dont want to get a new tire because they won't match the other three. the question i have is how much heavier is a fwd car in the front compaired the the rear (85 deville 4000lbs). and with the tire that i moved to the rear is there less proibility of falure because of the reduced weight on it? for the record compairing the uniroyal tire to the michelin weatherwise the uniroyal tire is much better for smoothness and reduced noise. i guess i just keep my eye on that tire.:duck:

Hard to watch a tire at 70 MPH. Have a tire shop read the date codes on the tires to determine just how old they are. Anything past 4 years I would not trust. A bulge in a sidewall can be where the sidewall belts join, rather common on some radials. This info is from 1st hand experience. Bought 4 tires 2 mon. ago at a swap meet. All 4 brand new but at least 4 years old. Had a tread separation at 30 MPH just after dropping off my 3 mon old grandson!! Tires and brakes are nothing to gamble on.
