I need help from someone who has done the conversion already from an 05 CTS to CTS-V from just the front bumper. I was wondering if someone could help me with a list, and maybe instructions if possible. Thanks!

Im not understanding the question.. you want to make your CTS "LOOK" like a CTS-V?

Back in the day people that did things like this were called Posers :tisk:

I dunno.... I wouldn't mind the mesh grille on another body... Just as long as you aren't labeling it as a 'V', I think you're alright...

yea thats the only reason i want the front bumper for the mesh grill...im not trying to label it. I just want the bumper for the grill because the basic cts just has a thin grill...the cts-v bumper has a wider insert for grill not trying to completely turn it into a v, lol not trying to be a "poser" or an "american ricer"

You can get a mesh grill for the regular CTS too, can't you? Or do you want that wider look as well?

yea i want the wider bottom...gives it a meaner look...the base one is too thin, i dont like it

Basically, he's doing what I've been doing with my Eldorado- modifying the look in an appropriate manner to his tastes :)

My goal has been just to update my car's look in the new Cadillac style.

Have you done anything yet, or are you still driving around looking factory?

I'd love to do HID lights on mine... I think it would look good with my modified, color-coded grille... But, I'm too chicken to get into that just right now. Can't even remember if there's a 'plug and play' mod for the Eldo...

If you do start working on your CTS, I'd love to see the work you've done :)

Warmarshall im sure they make a plug in play kit for your car. HIDs are not so much car specific but more bulb specific. The HIDs connect to your stock harness and then you just insert the new bulb in the original bulb socket. Not sure what type of bulbs the Eldo takes but if its 9005 then just type in 9005 HID conversion kit on ebay and tons of results will come up.

... Oh! I guess I was thinking that all went together with the 'angel/demon eyes mods...

Just throw a cts-v bumper on it and buy a grill. If I were in you shoes I would just buy a 2008 bumper and grill and bolt that on. I think to 2008-09 front ends look way better then the older V bumpers. I always see 08 bumpers on ebay for cheap. Some have minor damage but you will have to get it painted anyway. The newer grilles are cheap also as people are getting aftermarket grilles. You would also need 08 fogs and bumper inserts.
