hi,
anyone know of websites that carry both leather and vinyl? My top back seat tore today due to the heatwave and the bottom back seat is starting to come apart at the seam and my brother's car seat tore the center part and finally my front seats are pretty bad; only on driver side. Or websites that do seatcovers to place them over the exisiting seats.
Here are the codes, interior is 603 color Sierra Saddle and the vinyl to go along with it. The vinyl for the outside is code "E" color yellow
Thanks. here's a pic to show color needed.

LOL. I visit my local U-PULL wrecking yard at least once a month for anything, especially color match interior parts for my 83 Eldorado (dk blue). They charge a small entry fee but its worth it when you find what you need. Check your local yellow pages.

Easy for you to say. Here in our salvage yards there's no more of these old cars. All of them got scrapped. I remember seeing a nice late 80s FWB with a velour deElegance interior and the guy wanted only $50 for front and rear, but at that time my seats were fine. I no longer go because it is not worth going and wasting gas knowing they don't have nothing for my car. I even call and they tell me oh yeah we have a few so I go and I get pissed off because it's not what I'm looking for; all they would have is FWD Caddies. I am looking for a parts car just to have; I had a 1980 FWB Coupe DeElegance and I sold it for $100:banghead:totally regret that:crying:. Got any pics of your El Dorado?
Thanks though for your input.

Ya, a lot of the time I come out empty, and when they do get 80’s caddy it gets stripped fast. I don’t know what part of the country you live, but here in the northwest, Spokane WA in particular, I’ve seen dozens of these cars go through the u-pull yard to the crusher over the last 2 yrs. Some of them pristine, most of them cattlewrecks, I still look for anything that will fit my car. That way at least I gain some spare parts just in case. The quick way is always the most costly. I’m sure there are plenty of local auto upholstery shops than can match leather close to what you have. Otherwise grab the next deal that comes your way. The clunker for trade in rebates may shake some more of these cars into the salvage yards.
Used car auctions as well as tow yard auctions may turn up some prizes. It just takes time and of course CASH. Patience is a virtue when it comes to this hobby. For me the hunt is where the joy is.
For pic’s of my 83 check out the thread in “The Cadillac Owners Garage” forum titled “Dream machine”.
I wish you the best of luck on your project.
