: CPO Warranty-How do you know???

I just bought my STS used. It is an '08 and it only had a few hundred miles on it. They were selling it with the factory warranty but I negotiated to have them "Certify" it and give me the 100k bumper to bumper Certified Pre Owned warranty. All I have is a little hand written "Extended Warranty Verification" card.

When I pull the VIN Report, Under Warranties, I have:

48/50000 Bumper to Bumper
72/Unlimited Sheet Metal
96/80000 Feder Emission
60/100000 Powertrain
48/50000 Federal Emission
and then this one
72/100000 Premium Brands CPO Limited Warranty

Each of these have the effective start date of 3/3/09 which is the original In Service Date. I purchased the car in June like I said, used.

So, what is that last warranty, Premium Brands CPO Limited Warranty??? Is this the Factory GM Bumper to Bumper 100k warranty??? Why is it "Limited" and not Bumper to Bumper??

Thanks!

Many of the CPOs will not cover everything the original warranty covers, congrats on getting the extended.

The best you can do is get the warranty information from the dealer. They may have added certain other things, remember some CPO's have deductibles.

This is the Certified Pre-Owned warranty. Lately they have dropped somethings, like batteries, light bulbs, some trim, etc.

I was looking for verification, which you gave. Thanks.
