I am new to this group so excuse me if I am searching in the wrong location. My dad passed away reciently and I am now helping mom take care of her Cadillac. I have been told by several shops that my alternator is bad and I have also been told it is a pain to remove and change. Is there any place on here where I can find out just how difficult this is going to be? I am only trying to save her money, I have worked as a diesel machanic over the years but not on cars. I have the tools, ability, and the patients (I think!) I just need a little help.

Here's the problem............You are in the 2006-2009 DTS forum. Our "old" cars.........the 2006s................haven't had any problem with the Alternator yet. Try the Deville forum............
