Disabling that relay shuts down enough different modules that I doubt if you could drive the car. It shuts down everything from audio to sunroof to driver's door module to RIM (Rear Integration Module) and 7 others............... You have to identify which of the RAP circuits is staying hot and troubleshoot that circuit. Begin by opening the hood, insert a 10A ammeter in the battery negative cable (series) (where's your battery ??), wait the 10 minutes for (programmed) RAP dropout, and begin pulling fuses, one at a time. When the ammeter drops to 0, you found the circuit. If you also have a fuse box under the rear seat, that's a bit more complicated because you have to sit in the car, windows down and doors shut, while the RAP drops out, then start all over again with an assistant to watch the ammeter. jeffhaz 10-27-09, 11:59 AM So once the offending circuit is located, and mine is the stereo amplifier, what can one do repair the problem of that circuit staying on? | |
