I used a standard steering wheel puller on my 500. Be sure it doesn't drop into the threaded center hole & mess up the threads. You will need those threads and a special puller/installer to put it back. Bruce Roe CLC # 14630

A MOROSO harmonic balancer installation tool MOR61744 $44.49 looks like the one I bought years ago from JCW at half the price. Maybe you can find a better deal; its a good tool with adapters for different engines. You will need a couple of big wrenches to use it. Bruce Roe

OK, I looked at my damper tool. My JCW tool had 8 thread in adapters, for 7/16-20, 1/2-20, 5/8-18, 3/4-16, 9/16-18, M16-2.0, M14-1.50, M12-1.50. The MOROSO only covered the first 4. I used the M14-1.50 on a Cad 500. Maybe there is a better & more universal damper installer out there. Bruce Roe CLC #14630

Some auto stores rent the tools to do that with. Whatever you do, don't use a hammer to put the balancer back on. If you buy a good universal damper removal/installer set, it will work on most engines.
