I hit the chrome trim with some blackout "trim brite" i did the whole thing but didnt like how it made the V look. So I did it in the style that my old jeep srt8 had. Blackout the top of the window and leave the bottom streak chrome. I think it really sets it off....

Heres the ole oem look...

Here's a little bit of that Razor's touch...

Did you take any pictures before removing the tape on the window bottom trim?

nope didnt take any pictures. It looked to plasticy though - if someone was to paint out all the window trim i'd suggest a high gloss black....Yea I spend a good few hours this weekend waxing the baby up. 6k miles and it didnt have a good wax work on it yet - had to do it before it would start chipping like crazy

Sweeeet! That would be my first mod if I had a V2. The chrome is my only real complaint on the exterior.

Can you post a link to the stuff you used to black it out?

Lower it and black out the tails and that thing will look SiNiStEr

^ i'm waiting on D3 for the springs, I have a guy that does an awesome job on the tails - that'll be in the winter when its in storage and I plan on blacking out the front grill except for the caddy emblem. I'm going to leave the other little tidbits of chrome on the car on. I dont want to go full blown blackout because i dont want it to lose that luxury appeal. But i dont necessarily like the massive bling factor that is oem.

Looks very wicked brother. The chrome bothers me as well and I think you did a nice job. I was originally going to get the tail lights smoked, but I don't want to lose the classiness it has either.

thats why you have to go with a light tint. Not to darken it out but just to dim out the red a little. Its wayyy too bright and doesnt match the rest of the car. A light tint w/ the backup clear portion cut out/ left alone would look oem and keep it classy

That looks great! There are a bunch of options on their website which one did you get for that? Was it hard to install?

Stud looking car....just stud.

I'm looking into getting my wheels done in a similar fashion, they are awesome looking.

^ thanks, its a pretty straight forward install. Just have to make sure you get the air bubbles out and use a new xacto blade to cut the edges. Oh and doing it with the door open helps alot. The match of the tape to the black pillars is IDENTICAL- in the sun they both give off the exact sparkle.

Kad, yea i reallllly need those d3 springs to really set it off. That and i'm in debate as to what type of black to go on the front grill.

Razorecko-

wow. As I've stated before, I'm not a black wheels guy, and I normally don't like the blacked-out motiv on cars.

Your approach is just beautiful. Stunning, even.:thumbsup:

trick would be if the people that black chrome processed your wheels can also do palstic grilles.

I think if all the chrome was able to be painted black or coated black it would be sick, that is the look I am going for.... any advice on how to make this thing "Blacked Out"????
