Thought I post a few shots of my 76 today after I washed the massive amounts of tree crap off it and cleaned out the trunk. Enjoy!

Three mismatched hubcaps, a snow shovel, some aluminum tubing, a garbage bag, a flat tire with matching cover, a push broom, a trunk mat, a rusty (bloody?) tire iron, one 1970's vintage Jersey license plate, a couple pieces of chrome trim, a vacuum cleaner hose extension, an odd plug wire, and something that looks like road kill. :hmm:

Ex-Mob car, maybe? :histeric:

Cleans up pretty well though. Did the previous owner try and take off a hood ornament and ghetto-fill that hole? :(

Or is that maybe just a stubborn bird turd?

You haven't been here long enough to understand the skills of Dope...

I think thats bondo, look at the edge of the hood over the lights and grille.
and that DOES look disturbingly similar to road kill. good observation(?)

I believe that the license plates is a vintage NY, not NJ.

That astroroof is just amazing. Looks incredible on that car, Dope. Great reason to fix her up right there. I need to find a car with one... never had a car with a sunroof before! Girlfriend just bought an '09 Aveo with one, and it's only made me want to find one of these monster Caddies with one even more...

That factory rubber trunk mat is quite a find too! I used S.O.S. pads to clean up the one I got for my 1980 CDV. Worked quite well! Test a little area on the backside first in case yours is different then mine, and don't scrub like mad if it starts disintegratin'! A clean trunk can look kick-ass. Use an S.O.S. pad to clean up that spare too, and a normal wash mit on the steelie itself. You'll be pleased with the results, it's worth it! Good luck!

Mythbusters DopeStar edition, "Trunkbusters."

Hubcaps: Yep, two match, one's an odd out. The car originally had wires which I sold two to a friend of mine on the forum and the other was the 5th that came with my turbines from ebay....

Snow Shovel: From my garage, I was sweeping out the trunk and using it as a dustpan....

Push Broom: Use your imagination here, haha....

Aluminum tubing: The chrome rocker molding, passenger side ahead of the door, it fell off....

Garbage Bags: Makeshift seatcovers when my Astroroof was leaking...

Flat tire: My spare which is mutilated and flat, always has been.....

Trunk Mat: Yep, my trunk mat, cleaned it throughly....

Tire Iron: Not sure if I wanna reveal what the discoloration on that is....

Vintage Plate: New York plate from the 70's, found it in there. The car has NJ registration, a NY plate in the trunk, and a PA inspection sticker, not ruling the mob theory out here......

Chrome Trim: That's the two parts of the chrome trim where the vinyl top meats the roof. It came off and I can't get it back on....

Vacuum Cleaner Extention: That's that black plastic tubing you put wires in to keep them grouped together, essential to my interior dash wiring repair...

Odd Plug Wire: Extra spark plug wire. I broke one and bought another months ago. Did the plugs and wires last weekend and I figured I'd hold onto it just in case one breaks for some reason....

"Roadkill:" Not sure if I wanna reveal what this is just yet, the roadkill theory amuses me....

Also unmentioned: trunk lining, car cover bag, one rear bumper guard, a box of baking soda, and chrome edging. A lot of this stuff was thrown away.....

I took a lot of the trim off the hood and front of the car when I bondoed the worst parts of the car. I've decided now to just try and find a replacement passenger side fender and hood. Also the interior is in my basement, all of it. Lotta dead components in the dash. Just restored the original AM/FM 8-Track radio today. Now all I need is the Cruise Control switch and I can reassemble everything except the upper dash.....

Thanks for the encouragement and praises, I'm hanging in there....
