Had a thread that was about why you chose your name? Or what does your name mean? I think we should start one if we haven't...if we had one...then nevermind! ~LOL~ ;)
Mines easy though...from Jersey...and uhh...last time I checked I was a girl. :eyebrow:

Mad'lac

Well I got the name from my 3 yr old nephew. He was trying to say Cadillac but it came out sounding like " ma-e-la". One thing lead to another and I took the name Mad'lac (it also sound good too)

banstyle - derived from a song by a european band called Underworld. They name some of their songs after racing horses, which somehow always have very creative names.

In high school and first 3 years of college, I looked like shaggy from scooby doo. Then beer made me fat, but the name stuck.

grosser means nothing.

Katshot.........how do I explain this? Ok, here goes, and bare with me.
In the Navy, I was in a F-14 Tomcat squadron (VF-101) and loved everything related to them and flying. I also have ALWAYS loved motorcycles. A few years after I got out of the Navy, I bought my dream bike, a Suzuki Katana 1100. It was fast as hell, and I LOVE FAST THINGS. I wanted to come up with a cool "name for my bike and called it Katshot. It's a combination of the name for a catapult launch for a shipboard aircraft (cat-shot), and Katana. Hence Kat-shot. In my mind it just meant it was REAL FAST.
Over the years, only one guy has figured it out by himself and he just happened to be a Navy fighter pilot ;)

Now the REAL question is: what the hell does "tree was here" mean in Jerseygirl's signature?

I always wondered what your name meant! Tree is short for Theresa, my real name which I can NOT stand.

Night Wolf
06-30-03, 09:43 PM
Jay, you went to Marist in upstate NY? if so, that is about 25min from me.....

How did I get Panther?

Well, see on EVERY internet message board, or infact, ANYTHING that requires me to use a user name, I always use Night Wolf, why? I love wolves, and Night Wolf sounds cool (when ever we make a clib, the culb is Wolf Pack, and I am Night Wolf) Anyway, one night when I first found this site, I signed up..... but for some reason the software never sent me an e-mail with my password so IO can go on....keep in mind I signed up using Night Wolf...... so I tried it again, but this time using Panther, and it worked, I got a e-mail with my password. So I then went on and started posting a few things, the next day, I got an e-mail saying Night Wolf worked.....but IO already posted a few things under Panther, so I figured, it is not worth changing, as everyone here knows me by Panther and stuff. This is the only site I ever used something besides Night Wolf, at first it was strange, as I was always used to being called NW or Night Wolf or something, and when people started saying Panther..... I wasn't used to it, but it is too late to change it now....although if you look in the member database, I am sure you will find a Night Wolf, that's me :)

About Panther.... I dunno, I like Panthers (all animals in the cat family) the snowmobile at my fathers is a '73 Arctic Cat Panther 303 (Wankel rotary, that thing rips) and I think it just sounds cool.

I named my portable cd player Panther also (it's a iRiver iMP-400, and you can name it, and it displays the name at startup)

right now we have 3 cats, and a dog....dog is a Grey Hound, her name is Raven

when we get back form our 1 week mini-vacation at a state park (BORING) we are picking up a Siberian Husky....that will be my dog, her name is Rio, and she is an older dog....13years old. she is a very very good dog, active, and I love Husky's, plus they look like Wolves, so since I can not have a wolf-hybrid dog, the Husky will do, I can't wait though, it'll be great, once I get my license (get my permit tomorrow YEY!!!!) But then I can take me and my dog up to the mountians (about 25min away) and we can go for walks, as Husky's love to run/walk, and it'll be cool, both of us hanging out in my Caddy.....she likes car rides, and is very content in the car, so that will be cool, just put a blanket on the front seat, and maybe she'll stay in the front :) I can't wait.... less then 2 weeks.....

....ahh well, I guess this is long enoguh already :)

heh, I sometimes go by shaggy25, since 25 was the jersey number I wore for my highschool & college soccer teams. people used to assume I was 25 years old.

F-16's are wimpy. The F-14 while being a little long in the tooth nowadays, was the most advanced plane in the air just a few years ago. And other than the high cost of repairing them now, they are still the most versitile air superiority warplane in the world. And IMO, the hottest looking bird in the air or on the ground.
The Navy is now depending more heavily on the F-18 Hornet these days though to answer your question.

Revrend

I became a reverend back in the 11th grade to piss a kid off. It was part of a long and drawn out joke, and I will go to the very end to make a joke work...so I ended up having to become a reverend ( = I decided I didn't like the spelling of that, so I just started going by Revrend. I have a ring that has Revrend engraved in it, and I use this as my screen name, web page, and nick name.

The friends call me Rev, or J, and the girlfriend sticks with Justin.

Maximln

Mine's not very original either. My full name is Maximilian and 'Maximln' is just short for it. I first used it about 10 or 11 years ago when I first joined AOL. I tried to use 'Maximilian' as my screen name but it was taken so I ended up with 'Maximln.' A few years later, I had personalized license plates through California DMV with 'Maximln' on it and I also use it as all my user names and all my e-mail addresses. My father named me after a Mexican emporer who was actually French and eventually hung. I hope the same fate doesn't happen to me!
