I replaced the stock with an aftermarket cd player a year ago. Like an idiot, I didn't take notes on the which plug goes wear. My cd player got ripped off, so now I'm thinking I'll be forced to put the old one back in just for the crappy radio. There are two 3 pin plugs. One is white, and one is blue. Anybody know which one goes where? The last thing I wanted to do was to short out something by trial and error. BTW I was shocked at how good the speakers sounded with the aftermarket. It was like night and day. Granted, I'm not into the hip-hop.

I am pretty sure that the plugs are keyed, and will only fit in one socket. That's the way it is on my 89 DeVille.

If you are nervous about blowing something up, disconnect the battery first.

i havent torn into my receiver in well over a year so i dont remember at all.
go onto crutchfield.com and get a help line # or email.

just ask what colors match up to what, theyll tell you.
on my 1990 sedan deville the back speaker wires had been cut, i called them and they told me all the +/- wire colors for every speaker.

Thanks for the reply. All the factory plugs are still intact, I used a wiring harness when I installed the aftermarket deck, the thieves got that to but at least no wires were cut. I was planning on unhooking the battery but I will have to hook it back to see if its working right. My buddy at work was switching out a stereo in his pickup, next thing ya know, no dash lights, no brake lights, no drive the pickup. I can't afford to have anything stupid happen like that since right now the caddy is my only operable vehicle at this time. Anyways, thanks again.
