So is mine (ordered everything except polished wheels & block heater) shipped 6/18 told expect it at dalership in CA in about 3 wks. What is your delevery time frame & location.

Located in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Just home from the dealer. It arrived last night, checked it over just now, it will be ready tomorrow around noon. The salesman gathered all the paper work, build sheet etc. and put it away for me. By this time tomorrow it will be in my
garage!

Well, after burning out my V in Scotts dealership lot for 2 minutes I dashed off at about 60+ MPH for the first two days home....

What is the "book" break in period....500 miles? <60mph?

The book says:

New Vehicle Break-In
Notice: The vehicle does not need an elaborate
break-in. But it will perform better in the long run if
you follow these guidelines:
• Keep your speed at 70 mph (113 km/h) or less for
the first 1,500 miles (2 414km).
• Do not drive at any one constant speed, fast or
slow, for the first 500 miles (805 km). Do not
make full-throttle starts. Avoid downshifting to brake
or slow the vehicle.
• Avoid making hard stops for the first 200 miles
(322 km) or so. During this time the new brake
linings are not yet broken in. Hard stops with new
linings can mean premature wear and earlier
replacement. Follow this breaking-in guideline every
time you get new brake linings.
• Do not tow a trailer during break-in. See Towing a
Trailer (CTS-V) on page 4-29 for the trailer towing
capabilities of the vehicle and more information.
Following break-in, engine speed and load can be
gradually increased.

Yep it's a bitch this waiting, hope the time frame (3 wks) is correct because I will be out of town the next 2 wks. and hate to have it set at the dealership. My neighbor offered to go get it for me if it comes in, nice guy huh:histeric:

Cannot speak for all, but a few of us are indeed "special"
Drop everything pickup your V2 and keep it close till you come home......... BTW, drop your gas card in the dealers slot till we get back, I'll return the card when you get back, easy way to contol the loss of your card.

Gas card - dealer filled mine for me. And he gave me a CTS V memory stick for the radio. Said it was a one of, some sort of
promotion Caddy did a while back and he got one. He knows I'm a GM car nut, with several of them at home, so he gave it
to me. I also asked him for the V poster in the showroom for my garage. He said no problem "it's yours"!

It is definitely worth it to get the car exactly the way you want it.

I agree with mik2718; the wait is driving me crazy but to have YOUR car delivered to you in your 1st choice color/equipment is a real treat.
